Own the sh*t out of your (January) feelings

January is a funny old month, isn’t it? I’ve been chatting with so many people recently, and it’s clear that no two experiences of it are the same. Some people are bursting with excitement for the year ahead, setting big goals and diving into new projects. Others feel a quieter sense of renewal, using this time to reflect, reset, or simply breathe. And then there are those who are still in hibernation mode, clinging to cosy blankets and good books.
The beauty of it all? Every single one of these feelings is valid.
We live in a world that often tells us how we should feel, especially at the start of a new year. But here’s the thing: there’s no one-size-fits-all way to experience January. It’s okay to embrace the buzz of fresh beginnings, and it’s equally okay to feel a little meh about the whole “new year, new you” narrative.
Honour where you are, because that’s exactly where you’re meant to be.
If you’re energised, start that project you’ve been dreaming about. If you’re feeling introspective, take this time to journal, reflect, or simply rest. And if you’re drawn to staying in your pyjamas for just a bit longer, do it! Owning your feelings—whether they’re big and bold or soft and subtle—is a powerful act of self-respect.
More than that, your unique way of being is exactly what this world needs. When we embrace our individuality, we create space for others to do the same. The world thrives on diversity—not just in ideas, but in feelings and experiences too. Your energy, your pace, your vibe—it’s all part of the beautiful balance that connects us.
So, own the sh*t out of your January feelings. Whatever they are, they’re yours for a reason. And trust me, we need them.
Lost of love,
