Finding strength at the centre

When we think about core strengthening, visions of defined abs or the so-called "beach body" often come to mind. But my passion for core work has nothing to do with appearances. For me, it's about connecting to the centre of ourselves—both physically and energetically. It's about building a foundation of strength that radiates far beyond the mat.

The core of your strength
Strong core muscles are essential for good posture. I'd love to see you walking tall, with a sense of power and pride in the way you carry yourself—because you are powerful! Engaging your core in class isn't just about building physical strength; it's about activating a deep sense of stability and resilience within you.
When your core is strong, your posture improves. A straight spine not only reduces strain on your body but also sends a message to yourself and the world: "I am here, grounded and strong." This physical alignment mirrors an internal sense of alignment—a connection to your inner strength.
Activating your inner fire
Have you ever felt the heat in your core during class? That fire is already within you, waiting to be awakened. When we do core work together, we're not creating something new; we're simply activating what has always been there.
Take a moment to acknowledge this fire as you practice. Let it remind you of the strength, determination, and vitality that live at your centre. And when you step off the mat, carry that power with you. Let it influence how you move through the world, with confidence, grace, and an unshakeable sense of self.
Core work is more than just exercise—it's a practice of connection. It’s a way to align the physical and the energetic, to stand tall in both body and spirit. So next time we meet on the mat, let’s embrace the core of ourselves together.
Lots of love,
