Rooted in the Rush – December’s Theme

ree

December is always a busy month for me. There’s so much I want to be present for—family, creating little Christmas moments and magic for my children, my mum visiting, Christmas parties, and all the little things in between. Often, I feel like I’m being pulled in all directions at once.

This month’s yoga theme, Rooted in the Rush, comes from that feeling. I feel so grateful for all the wonderful events and moments happening this month—with family, friends, and the people I love. I really enjoy these celebrations and gatherings, and I feel lucky to have so many people in my life to share them with. At the same time, as much as these moments bring me joy, they also pull my attention in different directions, and I sometimes notice myself losing balance. This December practice is about finding steadiness amidst it all—coming back to yourself, feeling grounded, and balancing presence with the excitement around you.

I hope this theme can resonate with you too. My intention is that our December practice can be a little anchor: a space to come back to yourself, breathe, and feel rooted and balanced amidst the busyness of the month. I hope it helps you to ground, reconnect with your soul, and find steadiness in the midst of all the movement around you.

I’ll also be taking a break from Instagram throughout December to be more present with the people around me. But I’ll be here on the mat, holding space, and I hope to share a little December calm and balance with you through our classes.

Let’s root ourselves in the rush and find steadiness together.

Lots of love,

Viki xx
